The voice is our access to expression. We use it to communicate, to sing, to talk, to laugh, to sigh, to cry…it can be gentle or harsh, bold or calming, loud or soft. Our voice travels a spectrum of possibility, when we give it the freedom to roam, to fly, to explore...
The mechanics of the voice is located between our head and our heart. The voice is the great connector, bridging these two modalities of being and offering a physical manifestation of all we think, feel and sense.
And yet, we can feel so disconnected to “our voice.” We feel as if we’re “at a loss for words” or "can’t even begin to express” all that we have in our hearts or in our minds.
Through a series of introductory and playful exercises and conversations, we will begin to activate breath, movement and sound in order to tap into the possible spectrum of expression that we have available to us. We will begin to recognize and release past habits of stinginess, reticence, doubt, fear, and nervousness that keep our fullest voice from coming forth. As we search and mine, we will discover fresh ways to share our truth, while also reclaim the faithful and familiar we dearly embrace.
Join us as we uncover barriers to expression and awaken our authenticity.
It’s time to reconnect, to explore and give access to this GREAT EXPRESSER we call “voice”.
